Manufacturer’s Original Specifications:
The following data represents the general engineering standards for the Kuhns AF12 Accumulator. As a used unit, condition is as is, where is and may require general maintenance.
System Type: Fully automatic mechanical accumulator (no hydraulics or electronics required for accumulation).
Bale Orientation: Flat (string side down).
Bundle Dimensions: 72” Wide by 96”–132” Long (depending on bale length).
Bale Compatibility: Handles 14" x 18" and 16" x 18" bales, 32" to 44" in length.
Mechanism: Gravity-driven gates and a stainless steel deck for smooth bale sliding.
Working Width: 7' 10" (Transport/Working width).
Ideal for: Small square bale operations looking to eliminate manual labor from the field to the barn. The 12-bale flat configuration is specifically engineered to perfectly fill a standard 20-foot wagon or an 8.5-foot wide trailer without wasted space.
The Kuhns (Norden) Advantage: The Kuhns system is world-renowned for its "Simplicity through Design." Because it utilizes the energy of the baler plunger and the force of gravity rather than complex hydraulic or electrical circuits, it is exceptionally reliable in dusty, vibrating field conditions. The stainless steel deck is a critical feature, preventing rust and ensuring bales slide consistently even in high-moisture conditions or after the machine has sat between cuttings.
