PTO Horsepower: 180 hp (Factory Rated).
Engine Horsepower: 200 hp (Factory Rated).
PTO Speed: 1000 RPM (Note: The 4840 was a large-frame tractor typically dedicated to 1000 RPM implements).

Ideal for:
Large-scale rolling, planting, or spreading applications where a reliable, heavy-frame tractor is required. The 4840 remains a favorite for its “overbuilt” drivetrain and the legendary 466 engine, making it a dependable secondary or primary tractor for high-draft tasks.
The John Deere Advantage:
The 4840 was the flagship of the “Iron Horse” series, specifically designed to handle the increased power of the intercooled 466 engine. Unlike its smaller counterparts, the 4840 features a heavier final drive and a high-capacity cooling system to manage continuous heavy loads. This specific unit stands out due to the Trimble GPS inclusion and the upgraded SoundGard interior, providing modern precision and comfort in a classic, heavy-duty chassis.

Keith Stoltz’s first career was as a farm equipment dealer who understood that sitting equipment costs money!
To find a home for aging equipment, he began hosting live auctions at his dealership. With no online option available, he could only reach local people, who had to come in person to place their bids on stuff. And come back again if they had been outbid.
In 2021, Keith leveraged today’s technology to launch a better solution for buyers and sellers: Quickbids.Biz online auctions.
After receiving seller feedback, Keith realized he needed an option for dealers and businesses that didn’t have enough products to host their own auction, so Consign.Bid launched in 2024. Sellers could now join other sellers in an auction and sell stuff..
All of these efforts bring products to bidders who can shop from anywhere with an internet connection to find deals on equipment they need to run their properties or operate their businesses.

Stay up to date with new auctions and products
