HP Requirement | Approx. 70–90 HP |## Ideal for:A solid match for small to mid-sized hay operations running 70–100 HP tractors. The H7230 is well-suited for mixed hay or alfalfa operations where rubber conditioning rolls and a clean 10’4″ cut deliver consistent dry-down without leaf loss. Second-owner, low-use history with shed storage puts this unit well above average condition for its age. The bent RH cover is cosmetic and is the only reported concern.## The New Holland H7230 Advantage:New Holland’s H-series Discbine mower conditioners are among the most reliable single-unit mowing platforms in Ontario’s hay country. The ShockPRO hub system absorbs rock strikes and impact loads without transmitting force to the cutterbar frame, extending the working life of the disc carrier and knives compared to conventional hub configurations. Rubber roll conditioning is particularly valued in leafy crop applications, preserving nutrient content and minimizing leaf shatter during the conditioning pass.Make it yours! At just under 6,500 hours with recent service completed and known issues transparently disclosed, this is a tractor a buyer can evaluate clearly and price accordingly. The torque amplifier transmission is particularly useful for hay and forage work — on-the-go power shifting without a full clutch engagement reduces operator fatigue and improves field efficiency. Dual PTO covers both 540 and 1000 RPM implements.## The International Harvester 786 Advantage:The IH 86 series tractors are among the most trusted and well-supported diesel platforms ever built for Canadian farm conditions. The D-358 engine is known for pulling well, and the 86 series drivetrain has a strong reputation for longevity. Parts availability across Ontario is excellent, and independent mechanics with 86 series experience are common. The known issues on this unit — return line seep, loose pivot pin, one soft rear tire, and the typical 86 series shifter play — are well-understood, manageable items on this platform, not structural concerns. The transparency of the disclosure is a positive signal.Make it yours! The 12-row folding configuration is a practical match for mid-sized farms — wide enough to maintain planting efficiency without requiring a permit-width transport setup. The eSet meter upgrade is a meaningful improvement over the original finger pickup meters — eSet meters use an electric drive on each row unit, allowing variable rate seeding, better singulation at higher speeds, and per-row shutoff capability. The monitor included means the buyer has a complete, functional system ready to plant.## The John Deere 7200 Advantage:The 7200 MaxEmerge 2 is one of the most common and best-supported row crop planters in Ontario. Parts availability is strong through both dealer and aftermarket channels, and most agronomists and equipment technicians are familiar with the platform. The MaxEmerge 2 row unit itself is a proven design known for consistent depth control and down pressure management. With eSet meters installed, this unit is closer in capability to a current-generation planter than a standard 7200 — making it a high-value upgrade path for operations not yet ready to invest in a new machine.Make it yours! The MFWD axle paired with the factory loader makes it practical for chores, bedding, and yard duty year-round.With reported low hours and recent service, this unit is suited to a buyer looking for a tractor that can go straight into use without immediate shop time — a good replacement candidate for an aging utility tractor in a small to mid-sized operation.## The Case IH Advantage:The MX series — sometimes referred to as the “Maxxum” generation — earned a reputation as one of Case IH’s most reliable utility platforms. Built on a heavy cast frame with a stout 4.5L engine and a well-regarded synchromesh transmission, the MX100C has held its value well in the used market thanks to straightforward mechanics and parts availability.Case IH dealer support across Ontario remains strong for the MX line, and the platform is widely recognized as a sensible step up from compact tractors for operators who want loader capability and PTO power in a single package.Make it yours! At 72 inches wide, this machine is best suited for properties of two acres or more — commercial landscapers, golf course support, municipality work, or hobby farms with open lawns benefit most from this platform. With 2,000 hours, recent component replacements, and a reported clean mechanical bill of health, this unit represents a practical commercial mower at a used price. It is well-suited for a buyer looking to get straight to work this season without the wait of sourcing parts or performing deferred maintenance.## The John Deere 997 Advantage:John Deere’s 900 series zero-turns are purpose-built for commercial use, and the 997 sits at the top of that lineup. The 7-Iron PRO deck is one of the most durable and respected decks in the commercial mowing industry — precision stamped, heavy gauge, and designed for consistent cut quality across varied grass conditions. The Kawasaki FX1000V engine is a proven workhorse known for longevity well beyond 2,000 hours with proper maintenance.Unlike residential or prosumer machines, the 997 features a full commercial frame, commercial-grade hydrostatic drives, and is engineered for daily-use cycles. Its resale value holds well in the used market, particularly for units with documented maintenance and no outstanding mechanical concerns.Make it yours! With brakes, lights, tarp, and recently replaced slopes all reported in serviceable condition, this is a functional piece of transport equipment rather than a project.A buyer already running a B-train setup looking for a replacement lead, or an operation building out its on-farm transport capacity, would be the natural fit here.## The B-Train Hopper Advantage:B-train hopper configurations are a common and efficient choice for bulk grain haulage in Ontario, offering higher payload capacity than a single trailer while remaining within highway legal limits when properly configured. The lead unit carries the fifth wheel connection for the pup trailer, making its structural integrity the key factor in the combination’s road worthiness.Recently replaced front and rear slopes address one of the most common wear points on an older hopper — the areas most exposed to grain abrasion over years of loading cycles.Make it yours! ## Ideal for:
A working reefer truck with a valid safety certificate and a Cummins engine is a low-friction entry point for a small to mid-size produce, food service, or perishable goods operation. Hot and cold capability provides flexibility across different cargo types. The Freightliner M2 platform is the most common medium-duty truck in Canada, meaning parts and service are available in virtually every city and town in Ontario.
## The Freightliner M2 Advantage:
The Freightliner M2 Business Class has been the backbone of medium-duty trucking in Canada since 2002, built specifically for vocational duty cycles — refrigerated delivery, flatbed, and service body applications. It combines a low-entry cab with the Cummins powertrain, widely considered the most serviceable engine in its class. The M2 parts and service network in Ontario is mature and well-supported, with dealer and independent shop coverage across the province. Its articulating four-wheel drive design keeps all four wheels on the ground on uneven surfaces, making it well-suited for golf courses, municipalities, cemeteries, hobby farms, and acreage properties. With a new engine installed and 750 hours on the machine, this unit is positioned for continued reliable work. Front and rear PTO compatibility means it can run a wide range of Steiner-compatible attachments across multiple seasons.## The Steiner 440 Advantage:Steiner built its reputation on the articulating tractor concept — a platform designed specifically for slope stability and tight-radius manoeuvrability. The 440 is one of the more capable models in the lineup, offering genuine four-wheel traction in a compact, operator-friendly package.A new Kohler engine removes the biggest variable in any used machine purchase. The engine is the most significant mechanical cost centre, and having it replaced means a buyer is largely acquiring the hours-on-airframe benefit at a meaningful value.Make it yours! The compact footprint allows it to work in tight spaces such as driveways, parking lots, and curb cuts.A one-owner, low-hour cold planer is the kind of attachment that lets a general-purpose skid steer take on asphalt repair work it would otherwise need to be rented for — a sensible addition for contractors looking to broaden the services they offer in-house.## The Caterpillar Advantage:Cat work tools are engineered as a matched system with Cat host machines, with hydraulic specs, mounting plates, and control interfaces designed to work cleanly together. The PC series cold planers are a long-running product line that benefit from Cat’s global dealer and parts network — drum picks, bearings, and seals are widely supported. The Cat brand carries strong recognition on the resale market for attachments of this type, and the PC206 in particular is well known among small paving and utility contractors as a reliable, serviceable cold planer.Make it yours! It turns a two- or three-person hay crew into a one-person job in many cases.## The Massey Ferguson Advantage:The Massey Ferguson 1840 is one of the most widely used small square balers in North America, and the matching thrower attachment is a known, supported package. Parts and reference material remain easy to find, and operators familiar with the 1840 platform tend to stay on it for that reason.Massey Ferguson hay tools have a long-standing reputation among small square producers for straightforward mechanics and reliable knotters, and the 1840 thrower combination remains a standard setup on many Ontario hay farms.Make it yours! To find a home for aging equipment, he began hosting live auctions at his dealership. With no online option available, he could only reach local people, who had to come in person to place their bids on stuff. And come back again if they had been outbid.
In 2021, Keith leveraged today’s technology to launch a better solution for buyers and sellers: Quickbids.Biz online auctions.
After receiving seller feedback, Keith realized he needed an option for dealers and businesses that didn’t have enough products to host their own auction, so Consign.Bid launched in 2024. Sellers could now join other sellers in an auction and sell stuff..
All of these efforts bring products to bidders who can shop from anywhere with an internet connection to find deals on equipment they need to run their properties or operate their businesses.
