Ideal For
The soybean or small grain grower running a Case IH combine who wants a full thirty feet without stepping up to a draper. A flex head lets the cutterbar follow ground contour, which is where beans are won or lost — anything left standing on the stubble is money left in the field.
Five hundred acres a year across two owners, shedded every winter and gone over at the end of the season. Used properly rather than run into the ground. Note the header wagon does not come with it, and the buyer arranges pickup and transport.
The Case IH Advantage
The 2020 flexible grain head ran from early 2003 to the end of 2014, so a great many were built and the parts network reflects that. Sections, guards and sickle components for a 2020 are ordinary counter items rather than a hunt.
The stainless bottom is the detail worth knowing. A stainless auger floor lets crop slide instead of catching, and that matters most in damp beans and tough straw — exactly the conditions where a head plugs. Common. Supported. Easy to feed.
