The above represents general engineering standards for the HLA bucket mount silage facer at the time of manufacture and may not reflect modifications or the current mechanical state of this unit.
Ideal For
The dairy or feedlot operation that wants a flat, tight bunk face. A facer shaves the pile down instead of pulling it apart, which cuts the air getting in behind the face and the spoilage that follows it. Ninety-six inches covers a wide face in fewer passes.
It needs a loader with the flow to turn the drum — 20 GPM minimum — so this suits a mid to large tractor or telehandler rather than a small utility unit.
The HLA Advantage
HLA is the attachment line from Horst Welding, an Ontario manufacturer. For a buyer in this province that means parts, mounts and dealer support sit a phone call away instead of an ocean away.
The bucket mount facer is built around a drum of 400 Brinell high tensile steel teeth turned by two motors through heavy duty roller chain. Hardened where it wears, doubled up where it drives. Straightforward to plumb, straightforward to service.
