Ideal For
The mixed or livestock farm that wants one tractor doing loader work in the morning and field work in the afternoon. A six cylinder in this horsepower class with a 4 speed PTO covers most of what a mid-size Ontario operation runs, and 50 km/h on the road makes moving between farms less of a day.
The Quicke 970 on the front is sized for a tractor this size, not a light duty bolt-on. If you are feeding, stacking bales or loading manure daily, this is the shape of tractor that does it.
The Deutz-Fahr Advantage
Deutz-Fahr tractors are built around Deutz engines, and Deutz is an engine maker in its own right, supplying industrial and agricultural machines well beyond its own tractor line. That is a real advantage on a tractor two decades old — the engine parts network does not depend on the tractor still being in production.
The Agrotron cab is the other half of the story. Wide, glassy and built around the front linkage, it was designed for an operator watching a loader bucket rather than a plough. It is the reason these tractors earned their loader reputation and why so many are still working daily.
